The only word I can use to sum up the last few days is WOW!….wow – because it’s been a whirlwind of activity….wow – because we are still walking….and wow – because we are officially done with Mickey and his friends!! So let me give you a quick update of the highlights of the past few days…
- We slept in a little and headed over to California Adventure…when we made it in we headed over to Paradise Pier. As we were walking by a rollercoaster we noticed some commotion over to the right of us. We made our way over to check what ws going on and found out they were handing out FAST PASS DREAM PASSES!! What’s a fast pass? It was two cards on a lanyard that let you jump to the front of the line on all the major rides in California Adventure and the Magic Kingdom…it was so sweet!!
So we ended up spending half the day in California Adventure riding Mullholland Madness, soaring over California, riding the Grizzly falls, being dropped on the Tower of Terror and of course riding California Screamming x 2
In the mid-afternoon we headed over to Disneyland to go on all the big rides over there…which included Space Mountain, Autopia, Big Thunder Railroad, Indiana Jones (x3…totally amazing) and of course Splash Mountain (x4 = totally soaked)
We got up at 6am to be a part of the MAGIC MORNING!! Magic morning gives you the option of entering the park an hour early to get on all the choice rides before the crowds really show up…so that’s exactly what we did…we headed straight for SPACE MOUNTAIN (our family favourite – great rollercoaster but we really love the sound FX…which is listening to Keri screamm for 3 minutes straight!!)
We spent the rest of the morning and afternoon riding a few more rides then we headed over to Downtown Disney to grab a bite to eat at Rainforest Cafe and then we had to go see Indiana Jones 4 (Not bad…not great…Indy is gettin old!)
Friday: Well today is Friday and it’s time to move on out of here…we are in the process of packing up and heading North to Bakersfield for the night. We have family friends who live there…so we are going to spend the night with them…my boys will also be experiencing their first rock concedrt as we go to see Skillet in concert at the JESUS SHACK!!
Then tomorrow we will pack up our stuff and head Northeast to SIN CITY / LOST WAGES or Las Vegas..we will be staying at the Flamingo for two nights. I hope to update this blog on Sunday…so until then have a great weekend! Forecast is calling for 100f in Las Vegas…time to bathe in the sunscreen!!
