Within the day to day pressures of parenting – us as parents can often focus simply on making it through today. Rather than investing in the future and laying a solid foundation in our children – we scurry about trying to keep them busy so they won’t hang out with bad influences (which will lead to drug / sex and rock n roll)
Here is a question to ponder: Who do you really want your child to become? (your answer to that question may look very different than the path your child is currently on)
So who do you want your child to be at the end of this year? 5 years from now? 10 years? 20 years? 30 years from now? Once you have that glimpse…stop…..now ask yourself – if that’s who they are…what choices do I need to make as a parent to get them there?
