Children being seen (to some extent) but definitely not being heard continues to be at the heart of the North American church. Ironically…years down the road we question…”Why are we losing our kids”? The fact is… we never actually had them.
We have a generation of young people who MUST “BELONG” before they will “BELIEVE” and “BECOME”. If their church experience is nothing more than being stuck in a holding tank (along with a digestive cookie and a craft) while their parents experience the living God (just a hint of sarcasm)…we are setting ourselves up for a massive failure.
I came across this video clip today that drives home this point. Is it time we break the practice of age segregation? Is it even possible with our current forms of how we “DO” church?
